MERGER FAQ
When will this merger begin?
The merger will start immediately! We are hoping to have a team in the winter of 2024 in hopes of being fully acclimated by spring/summer 2025.
will we need to purchase new gear?
Yes. We will transition to uniforms with the Centex Lady Attack logo, no personalization will be offered. These costs will be communicated to you once you make a Centex team.
what is the affiliation with team lex?
Team Lex is a proud member of the Under Armour, Power 24, and Select 40 circuit for the 15U, 16U, and 17U elite players. The director / lead trainer of Team Lex Austin is also with Centex Attack and will have eyes on Centex Lady Attack players early. Centex Lady Attack high school players will still have an opportunity to travel to evaluation period events and reap all the benefits of the College PREP program, however, only those selected for the Team Lex 15U, 16U, and 17U circuit teams will compete in those events.
will we have different coaches?
Coach Fallon will still remain the director of Centex Lady Attack South while Coach Johnson and Coach Sandoval will stay on as coaches. Remy will now serve as the social media director for Centex Lady Attack South social pages. The Centex Attack directors will handle communications, scheduling, and finances.
will you still take all skill levels?
Yes! One of the best and most important parts of the merger was the shared philosophy with the directors of Centex Attack that every player who is interested and wants to learn basketball should have the opportunity to! Joining forces with Centex also opens up to match players with like skill teammtes to continue to improve and grow together. We are looking into fully working out the Centex Attack Development Academy for league play as opposed to playing in tournaments that may be too fast for beginners.
will current teams stay together?
Every season will bring new and old faces together. While we try to keep a majority of our girls together, our goal is to be able to create teams of like-skill level so every player has a chance to contribute! Some players may leave a team they have been with, but will also be given a great opportunity to make some new friends.
